2 weeks off-road, zero charging stops

Charging stops as in plugging in a Starbucks or something?

Just got back from two weeks exploring the Arizona backcountry… I decided to experiment.

I’m all for experiments.

This time, alongside my standard dual-battery system, I brought an Anker solix C300DC.

I truly don’t understand this two power systems thing. Why not 4 or 13? Or, you know, one functional setup.

If the existing setup doesn’t meet needs then it would likely be more productive to assess and addressthe shortcomings.

It shined by providing a buffer for the fridge power

and offering peace of mind as a jump-start backup.

When I hear people talk about buying products for peace of mind I parse this as I don’t know what I’m doing and am anxious about it.
Note that many DIY setups with alternator charging can already self-jumpstart.

But what I like most of it is I almost made it the entire trip without once having to run the engine solely to charge something.

That should be entirely normal. Unless one has a bespoke alternator setup intended to charge at idle.
