cannot inform Amazon of a non participating pickup location
I mentioned earlier that Amazon delivered to a pickup point that said it wasn’t a pickup point. I picked up the package within minutes of delivery but because the non-pickup-point didn’t do the pickup procedure both Amazon and UPS are sending me continual reminders to pick up the package.
After the pickup fiasco I logged back into Amazon to make sure it was a listed pickup point; it was.
So I started looking for ways to inform Amazon that the pickup point doesn’t want to play. Unfortunately none of the canned support options apply.
I rabbit-holed down the least-bad support trail and eventually got to a Chat support option.
It still forced me to pick one of the items in the shipment (fine…). I told it what the problem was and it went to “thinking” bubbles. I left the chat running and did my morning routine. 1.5 hours later it was still thinking so I closed it. I’ve done my best to inform Amazon.
My guess is they’ll issue a pickup request from UPS who will go there and both parties will be flummoxed again. Then an erroneous refund process will start. Hopefully when actual money is at stake a human will review the situation.
