When I was younger I struggled with what might be called “toxic productivity”, the drive to keep improving stuff/processes/myself well past the edge of diminishing returns. It made me tired, and some might say it made me tiresome.
I am consciously adopting a new approach which I have imaginatively call the Good Enough philosophy:
- I steward resources but don’t fight for every watt.
- I exercise but don’t beat myself up for lazy days.
- I read over what I write but don’t edit obsessively.
