It’s chilly in the mornings now, 46-48F. I’m wearing long pants and a watch cap for warmth.

freaking cows

Cows woke us up this morning around 0530 by bumping into the camper.

Then they bumbled around knocking stuff over, including the scooter. :-( No damage but it was annoying.

first use of the Tourmaster heated vest

I had made up an Anderson powerpole plug for the vest’s controller for testing. Since the other outlets in the van are Anderson I can use the vest while sitting at the “desk”.

By watching the battery monitor I think the vest averages about 15-20w on the lowest setting and 50w on the highest. If I get real curious I’ll split the wiring apart so I can put a clamp meter on one side to see what it’s really doing.

The lowest setting is a little too warm inside the camper when ambients are ~50f. I might use the 10w USB vest for this kind of mild chill and the ‘Master for colder conditions when the 10w is not sufficient.
