propane burner repair
I must be rough with my single-burner stoves. A couple years ago I knocked all the pan support fingers/flanges off my original Coleman. I replaced it with a $20 Ozark Trail, the Walmart house brand.
Now one of those fingers was flopping around. This time I looked at it more closely and saw what happened: each finger is held to the burner by two rivets and one of the rivets had broken.
I was on a Walmart reprovisioning run and picked up a pop riveter tool for $8. Knocked out the broken rivet and put a new one of similar size in. Worked great. In the pic the repaired rivet is the one toward the center of the burner.
I know I’ve wanted a pop riveter before but can’t remember what I was trying to repair at the time.
