cool weather, cool finds at the grocery store
finally Fall
Temps are now consistently below 80F in Santa Fe. Not only is it more comfortable, but it also means I can remain in direct sun where the panels can do their job.
So, so glad to be out of the heat.
Rainy/cloudy for the next few days so I’ll use a “full charge” profile rather than my typical ~80%. I don’t think the bank will actually fully charge but I should be able to bank some additional Ah for a (literal) rainy day.
tire repair
Picked up a bolt in a rear tire. Had it repaired at my favorite local shop. The Check Tire light hasn’t gone out so I assume they broke the TPMS doodad. Yes, I confirmed proper tire pressure all around.
grocery close-outs
Got some great deals at the local Smith’s:
- deli person got lazy and marked all the close-outs as potato salad (closeout at $1.29/lb). Picked up some uncured ham, “krab” salad, etc at that price.
- 3.5oz bags of chicharrones en tiras (hard pork cracklin strips) at half price, $0.26oz. I like to keep these in the pantry because they are shelf stable and make an excellent breakfast burrito
- queso fresco for half price. Almost never see this
- 3-pack of different burrito fillings at $2.27/pound. Carne asada, etc. Best part was each type was vacuum sealed separately, making for easy and leak-proof refrigeration.
Muffin is feeling poorly
Her tummy was gurgling dramatically this morning and she hasn’t touched her kibble. Pooped once but I think there’s a deluge waiting to escape. I’ll follow her lead on what she needs.
