backchannel: more power station hoopjumping

OP on reddit is having problems finding the right power station:

run a diesel heater … mainly charge it using my alternator.

Decent DC output and robust charging from the alternator is just another day with DIY and often a hoopjumping exercise with power stations.

To paraphrase the adage, “when all you have is marketing, every solution looks like a power station”.
