I am really tired so will be short.

Went in at 0830 and was conscious again by 1300. Drain removed late on the 2nd day and I was released on the third, having demonstrated acceptable walking skills.

Too early to tell if the procedure will get my left arm and leg back up to speed or if it just stopped further damage.

Massive back cramps/spasms as the body learns the new arrangement. I do have a muscle relaxer but I wish it had a little more oomph. As of this writing I’ve taken 1.5 of codeine #3, broken into halves.

Going to take my first shower and wash the brace. Hopefully the tegaderm sealant stays waterproof and I don’t have to change it. Don’t have the brace off yet but from what I can see there’s no spotting on the bandage.

OK, took the shower with no drama. I feel a bit better for it.
