overlooking White Sands

I was boondocking in the Sacramento mountains last month and took this pic.  The literal white sands are in the distance.

I didn’t stay here.  The dirt road in was currently dry but had massive ruts in low spots that showed it was nasty when wet.  A storm was coming in so I skedaddled. First drops came down after I was safely past the ruts.

The forest road did continue up the hill but there was a tree down across it.  I could have tried to snatch-strap it out of the way but the weather was worrying.
