First RV dealer visit

There are 3-4 RV stealerships close to where I work.  I finally stopped in at one.  Would have done it earlier but I dread the hard sell.

My salescritter at RV-Max was Kaye, friendly and knowledgeable.  She let me into about 10 trailers while it was lightly raining.

I learned a couple of surprising things:

  1. Aliner A-frames are clever in minimal space.  I had been worried about the lack of interior headspace because of the leaned-in design, but the Ranger 12 was perfectly fine. The sofa bed was quite wide;  I would consider sleeping on the sofa (folded) and using the extra 2’ to install a Nature’s Head composting toilet.

  2. I am am IN LOVE with the bunkhouse (BH) models I saw:  Forest River Wildwood (195BH) & Jayco Flight SLX (145RB, 154BH, 174BH).  I would sleep in one bunk and put dogs or gear in the other bunk.

I didn’t see the R-Pod until I was driving away or I would have checked that one out, too.
